DIY: Watermelon Shoes

DIY: Watermelon Shoes

Spring and Summer are just around the corner. One way I like to spice up my wardrobe is with fun shoes! This DIY is easy, fun and a fast way to incorporate a pop of color into your warmer attire.

What You'll Need:

  • A pair of white sneakers
  • Paint Colors: New Shamrock, Barn Red, Bright Magenta, Lime Tree
  • Paint brush (the smaller the better)
  • Something to hold the paint

Before painting onto your shoes, mix the barn red and bright magenta together. There should be more bright magenta than barn red. Do the same for new shamrock and lime tree. New Shamrock should have the majority while lime tree is minimal. Also, take out the shoe
This was after I painted both the pink and green parts.

I then painted the tongue and added the dots.

TIPS
  • If you get paint on the eyelets or the sole, take a baby wipe or damp rag to clean up the edges.
  • If you want a more faded look, like the ones pictured about, take a damp towel and lightly wipe over each section.
  • I used a sharpie as well as nail polish to get the dots or seeds darker, both worked!
